CURE Zambia is a place of hope and healing for vulnerable children with treatable disabilities.
Before Surgery
Each child’s healing journey begins with a warm welcome from our compassionate team, who makes sure children and their families are physically and emotionally ready for treatment. Before surgery, children are assessed by the anesthesiologist and pediatrician.
Conditions We Treat
CURE’s world-class medical team specializes in pediatric surgical care. Without treatment, these conditions could become permanent, life-limiting disabilities.

legs that bend outwards at the knees
Burn Contractures
lack of joint movement or mobility due to a severe, often untreated burn
Cleft Lip
separation in the lip
Cleft Palate
separation in the roof of the mouth
Clubfoot
condition where the foot is twisted inwards
ENT
treatments for ear, nose, throat, head, and neck conditions
Genu Valgum (Knock Knees)
legs that curve inward at the knees
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease)
soft or weak bones that bend and break frequently
Untreated Trauma
untreated broken bones that heal improperly and cause mobility problems
Windswept Legs
the combination of bowed legs and knock knees; one leg bows inward and the other outward
After Surgery
After surgery, children receive regular check-ups, physical and emotional therapy, and any adaptive devices needed, like wheelchairs and crutches. The path to recovery even includes fun—like making new friends in the playroom.
